This summer we shipped a lot of quality-of-life improvements to Struck. To make it easy to catch up, we bundled the highlights below. From sharing conversations without accounts to downloading a DXF of any parcel in the Netherlands, from multilingual answers to a clean PDF export of your permit‑free check, everything in one place.
Fun Fact #1
Did you know that you can now export your full Permit-Free Check as a PDF?
All the rules, buildable areas, and definitions are included. Even the date and timestamp are visible on the PDF, and as a nice little touch, your organization’s logo is automatically included. It is easily shareable, looks like you’ve spent hours on it, but Struck did it in 0.4 seconds.Just follow the usual steps of the Permit-Free check and click “Download PDF” at the end.
Fun Fact #2
Did you know there’s a place in the Netherlands called “Hungry Wolf”?
And yes, it has an official zoning plan. Little Red Riding Hood? Probably needed a permit. Luckily, our zoning chat would have cleared things up, especially now with our new interface.
You can now choose which documents you want referenced in your answer, and within those documents select specific annotations, like individual ‘bestemmingsvlakken’, that are relevant to you. This redesign puts the map view front and center, so no one gets lost in the woods.
Even fairy tales make more sense with Struck.
Fun Fact #3
Did you know you can upload your own documents, policy rules, or PDFs?
Struck can read, understand and then make them searchable. It also immediately compares your own documents to the building regulations, so that you know quickly whether you are compliant, and if not, what is missing.
Whether it’s an old file from your hard drive or a document that just landed in your inbox, you can build your own internal library that is fully integrated into Struck. No more digging through folders and endlessly searching for something that you vaguely remember from before your summer holiday. Struck makes your documents part of the conversation, so you can pick up right where you left off.
Fun Fact #4
Did you know you can download a DXF of every plot in the Netherlands with Struck?
Great for when you're starting a project and need to understand the site context. You can choose which map layers you want to include, from the zoning designation to the roads. This way, you can download your environment as a 3D model in a single click, import it into your drawing program, and get started with designing.
Fun Fact #5
Sharing is caring
You’re in the middle of a project and you ask Struck a few quick questions, just to be sure.
And suddenly, it’s there: a clear answer, exactly what you needed. You remember this problem well because it was something your colleague got stuck on last week.
So why keep it to yourself? Just share the conversation with the engineer, the contractor, the municipality or your client. Whoever it is, they don’t need to sign up or install anything, they can immediately open the link and see the answer.
No accounts. No barriers. Just sharing answers, one link at a time.
Fun Fact #6
Did you know you can ask Struck questions in any language?
Is Dutch not your first language? Or working with someone who’s more comfortable in English, French or Spanish? No problem. Struck simply responds in the language you use. You’ll still get an answer based on the correct regulations, just a little easier to understand.Clear answers, in a language that works for you.
Fun Fact #7
Did you know you can search the entire Overheid.nl database on Struck?
Looking for a regulation on a specific topic but not sure what it’s called or which version you need? Using the regulation search feature in Struck, you can type in a postcode and the topic you want information on to pull up the relevant documents. This gives you access to all the documents you can find on overheid.nl all in one place, with the relevant part highlighted so you can spend less time searching and more time getting things done.
Fun Fact #8
Need to write a formal note to your municipality? Struck is already 90% done with the draft.
Here’s how it works
Just describe your situation in Struck: what’s happening, what you want to say, and who it’s for. Then ask: “Can you turn this into a letter to the municipality?” You can even ask it to address the letter to a specific municipality, person, or department. Struck will generate a tailored draft that’s clear and complete; even the wethouder will be impressed.
